Sometimes you might love the style or subject matter, but it just doesn’t match your decor. Or the size is just wrong. Why not ask about a custom piece of art?

In my experience, I have found the word “commissioned’ tends to scare people off. I think people assume it’s way out of their budget and would take months to get the finished piece. That’s not the case here. Tell me your budget and I will work with it, even if it’s rather modest. I will make the process fun and rewarding…promise! My turn around time is also pretty fast. So please ask if you are looking for a piece to hang in that awkward space between the hutch and living room door. Or if your best friends birthday is coming up and want to surprise them with something special and unique. Everyone deserves and can afford an original piece of art in their home.

Mounting or Framing Options

Wood Panels

These panels are made of birch wood. I mount the front with a piece of polystyrene plastic; A perfect surface for the inks. Once the painting is finished, I seal the whole thing and the piece is ready to hang. The panel’s deep edges give a nice gallery feel to the finished painting. I usually paint the sides black, but they can be any colour you wish. They come in a wide ranges of sizes as well. Please inquire for specific sizes.

Framed Pieces

Most often I paint on polystyrene. It’s a thin, white plastic sheet that provides a nice smooth and sturdy surface for the alcohol inks. When completed, I then can mail you the finished piece rolled in a sturdy carboard tube. I can also purchase and frame the piece for you, however, I prefer to save this for local deliveries. (Mailing glass is always risky).

Usually I paint in standard sizes. This way custom framing isn’t needed and you can purchase ‘off the shelf’ in your local art supply store, for example. This will help keep the cost down. However,  I can make the piece any size you want. Just take into account the additional costs of custom framing when considering your entire budget. Please inquire for details on additional framing costs.
